Τhe medical practice that deals with the health of the female reproductive systems (vagina, uterus and ovaries) and the breasts is called or gynecology. Literally, outside medicine, it means "the science of women". Its counterpart is andrology, which covers the field of the medical issues of the male reproductive system.
The majority of the modern gynaecologists is also obstetricians. In fact, in many areas, the specialties of gynaecology and obstetrics overlap.
